While a great way to great around and a great way to exercise, cycling can lead to injury. It’s important to make sure your bike is fitted professionally and to maintain good biking posture to reduce your risk of injury.

Common mistakes made with biking posture include:

  • Too much motion of the pelvis from side to side

  • Tucking hips/tailbone underneath your body

  • Pointing your toes down

  • Hunching forward and rounding your shoulders

  • Putting too much weight through your hands

  • Flaring your elbows out

If you have an injury from cycling, you may benefit from physical therapy.
